God gave the growth

Harvest season is underway at His Mansion. The gardens and canning room have become busy work spaces where staff, Residents and Servant Leaders work together to process the vegetables that have been growing since planting season earlier in the spring. The produce grown on The Hill supplies the community with a fresh, nutritious food source while also preparing for the winter ahead by filling freezers and shelves with God’s abundance. Each year, the gardens give His Mansion a tangible expression of God’s provision and the growth He gives.

On The Hill, God is giving growth in the gardens. He is also giving growth in the lives of the men and women in the programs as the seeds of the Gospel flourish in their hearts.

How Residents and Servant Leaders are growing

His Mansion asked current Residents and Servant Leaders how they are growing on The Hill. These are some of their responses.

  • Isaiah, “One of the greatest realizations I came to while being here is that if I give everything to God and lay it before Him, then growth and freedom from the things that brought me here will follow.”
  • Alisa, “Before coming to HM, I was self-absorbed with little to no emotion. Since being here, I have learned how to be a good friend that is able to listen to others and notice their needs. It has taught me how to be more vulnerable while also growing in self-awareness as I walk closer to God each day.”
  • Luke, “During my Resident year…I learned through the love of Christ to forgive and love myself. Throughout my time as an SL, I am learning to lead as I pour my heart out while loving others.”
  • Nick, “I have acted in humility in situations where Nick 3-4 weeks ago would not. I think, ‘How would Jesus react to this?’ more than I can ever recall.”
  • Krystan, “In whatever I was doing, I was looking to the next thing to satisfy me. Here at His Mansion, in greater simplicity, I feel peace, satisfaction, and contentment in Christ.”
  • Caleb, “By abiding in Christ, I have come to understand how truly loved and treasured I am by God. He has abundantly shown mercy, given grace, made me righteous, and adopted me as His son.”

God is at work in each of our lives in a personal way. May these words encourage you in the power of testifying and giving the glory back to Him.

2026 Run for Recovery 5K recap

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.” Hebrews 12:1-2

On August 8th, His Mansion held its first annual Run For Recovery. The event was a 5K run/walk that took place at the fairgrounds and rail trail in New Boston, New Hampshire. The Run For Recovery was an opportunity to come together in support of those who are facing addiction, to bring awareness to the amazing work God is doing at His Mansion, and to encourage one another in the great hope we have in Jesus Christ.

The outpouring of support was both a response to the great need for addiction recovery and a testament to the heart of Jesus for the broken. The Gospel can and does still change lives! Over 115 people took part in the run/walk, and many more turned out in support of the participants and His Mansion.

Thank you to everyone who made the Run For Recovery an uplifting and joyous day. Special thanks to the race participants, sponsors, and to all who donated to the racers’ fundraising efforts. Congratulations to the race winners, Paul Rissler and Nora Smith! Stay tuned for the 2027 Run For Recovery.

The 2026 5K sponsors were Bethany Covenant Church, Christ Community Church, Redwood, Trinity Chaplaincy & Counseling, Center Point Church, and WJNH 91.1 Conway, WVNH 91.1 Concord and WANH 88.3 Meredith.

Prayer requests

Here are a few ways you can pray for His Mansion:

  • Praise to the Lord for salvation. Pray that the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and His resurrection would be constantly recalled and impact each life here.
  • Pray for the staff at His Mansion. Pray that the Lord would equip each individual who has been called to The Hill and that open staff positions will be filled.
  • Pray for the work groups that served at His Mansion in August. As they return to NC and PA, pray that the light of Christ will impact them personally and the communities they returned to.
  • His Mansion has open spots in the men’s and women’s Resident Recovery Programs. Pray for broken men and women who need life-saving help to be led to The Hill.

Thank you for your prayers on behalf of His Mansion!

This is the program these stories come from

The program is one year, which may vary depending on when a Resident arrives. It is a two-stage program, both 6 months in duration. His Mansion takes in new Residents on a monthly basis. Admission times vary depending on each individual situation.

No, you do not have to be a Christian to join the recovery program. The program is Christ-centered and we do ask that you be open to a Christian approach.
